Plaud Note Pro has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award: Product Design 2026. The award is one of the world’s best-known design honors and also means that Plaud is being recognized by Red Dot for the third year in a row.
Plaud Note Pro is designed as a discreet work tool for meetings, interviews, and conversations, where the user can focus on the conversation itself while the device helps capture and structure what is said.
Designed not to get in the way
An important part of the design is keeping interaction with the hardware as simple as possible. Plaud Note Pro therefore uses a central physical button for the most important functions, including Press-to-Highlight.

With a single press, the user can mark something as especially important during the conversation. That marker then carries through as a signal to AI about what the user themselves considered significant, instead of AI later having to infer it solely from the conversation.
Hardware and AI work together
Plaud Note Pro combines audio with text, images, and the user’s own markers to create more context around a conversation. The platform supports transcription in 112 languages, speaker identification, and custom dictionaries, and the material can then be used for summaries and follow-up, among other things.

The Red Dot Design Award has recognized products with outstanding design since 1955. This year’s award is further confirmation of Plaud’s ambition to combine thoughtful hardware design with AI tools that fit naturally into everyday work.
